Radius 200m
A journey can begin close to home. Pausing within the familiar, these photographs follow the changes in light that reveal another world.

English — Radius 200 Meters
A photographer is always chasing light
You don't have to cross an ocean to find it
So I step outside my front door again
And walk a circle two hundred meters wide
There's an old stone wall I pass every day
A line appears there around three o'clock
When the sunlight tilts just a little bit
The stones reveal a different face
I thought I had seen it all
I thought I knew this place
But when the light begins to lean
The world shows a different face
Radius two hundred meters
There is still time I haven't lived
On a manhole cover
In the sway of nameless grass
I don't have to travel far
For a journey to begin
Toward the things I've always seen
But never truly noticed
A paintbrush couldn't catch this
A reflection lasting just a second
Clouds drift by
The wind changes course
A bird's shadow crosses the ground
The shutter gathers time itself
At a speed nobody sees
This neighborhood keeps becoming new
While quietly breathing underneath
The world was always changing
It wasn't waiting for me
The difference wasn't in the landscape
It was in the way I learned to see
Radius two hundred meters
No reason to go beyond
Following small pieces of light
Through familiar streets again
And somewhere inside the ordinary
Beyond what everyone knows
Another world is waiting
Within two hundred meters
